The Team

Nadine is a state-certified social education worker and a Berlin native. She is the pedagogical director of the kindergarten. After completing her studies, she worked as a preschool teacher in a German-Mandarin-English kindergarten in Beijing. She is also a specialist on integration/inclusion as well as early childhood education. Nadine has been with the Bambuswald Kita since 2012 and is currently a teacher in the dragon group.

Xin is a state-certified early childhood educator. She comes from Liaoning, a city in northeastern China. In her home country, she studied primary education and worked for several years as a teacher. She also holds a Master’s degree in Educational Management from TU Berlin. Xin has been living in Berlin since 2005 and has been part of the Kita Bambuswald team since 2014. She is currently an educator in the Tiger Group.

Tanja is a state-certified early childhood educator and a native Berliner.
Before joining Kita Bambuswald, she worked for many years in various child care and after-school centers across Berlin, gaining experience with integration groups, preschoolers, and nursery-aged children. In 2012, she completed additional training as a specialist in language development.
Tanja has been part of Kita Bambuswald since 2017 and is currently an educator in the Tiger Group.

Kerstin originally comes from North Rhine-Westphalia and has lived in Berlin for over 40 years. She is a qualified early childhood educator and has completed various advanced trainings. In addition, Kerstin is a certified mediator and supervisor. Her passion lies in non-violent communication based on the approach developed by Marshall Rosenberg, which she also incorporates into her educational work. Kerstin has been part of Kita Bambuswald since 2024 and is currently an educator in the Dragon Group.

Ling Yu comes from Taipei, the capital of Taiwan. There, she studied art and elementary school education. Since 2012, Ling Yu has lived in Berlin and studied art at the Berlin University of the Arts. She has extensive experience as a Mandarin and Art teacher, teaching children of various ages.
Ling-Yu has been working at the Bambuswald Kita since 2024 and is currently a teacher in the dragon group.

Chen comes from the beautiful Sichuan province in China. She studied art and worked as an art instructor for children for several years. Chen has been living in Berlin since 2021 and has been completing her vocational training at the Bambuswald Kita since August 2023. Chen is currently working in the tiger group.  

Jui was born in Taiwan and has been living in Berlin since 2019. He is a graphic designer and completed a master’s degree in Urban Planning in Berlin. Since September 2023, Jui has been completing a part-time vocational training program at Kita Bambuswald. Through this training, he aims to learn more about child development in order to later combine both fields. He is currently working in the Dragon Group.

Xi comes from Guangzhou in southern China and has been living in Germany since 2019. In 2025, she completed a bachelor’s degree in Educational and Child Sciences at Freie Universität Berlin. Xi has been familiar with Kita Bambuswald since October 2022. Since January 2026, she has been working as an educator (maternity cover) in the Dragon Group.
